How do I batch actions for the Arize Thermostat in vacant units?

Using the Arize Smart Thermostat’s batch action functionality, you can perform a few different actions at once.

  • Implement a new schedule.
  • Set mode/temperature.
  • Toggle between locked/unlocked modes.

To assign new schedules to multiple thermostats 

  1. Click Devices in the side navigation menu.
  2. Click Thermostats under “Devices”.
  3. There are grey boxes in the left-most column.  Click the grey box next to the row of the devices you want to assign a new schedule to.
  4. Once all the thermostats (up to 10) are selected, click the Actions button.
  5. Click Set New Schedule.
  6. Fill out the form.
  7. Click Apply to Selected Units.

To set the same mode/temperature for multiple thermostats

  1. Click Devices in the side navigation menu.
  2. Click Thermostats under “Devices”.
  3. There are grey boxes in the leftmost column.  Click the grey box next to the row of the devices you want to set the mode or temperature to.
  4. Once all the thermostats (up to 10) are selected, click the Actions button.
  5. Click Set Mode/Temperature.
  6. Select a thermostat mode and adjust the slider accordingly.
  7. Click Apply to Selected Units.

To lock/unlock multiple thermostats 

  1. Click Devices in the side navigation menu.
  2. Click Thermostats under “Devices”.
  3. There are grey boxes in the leftmost column.  Click the grey box next to the row of the devices you want to lock or unlock.
  4. Once all the thermostats (up to 10) are selected, click the Actions button.
  5. Click Lock/Unlock Thermostat.
  6. Select Lock Thermostat or Unlock Thermostat.
  7. Click Apply to Selected Units.
Note: Property managers can control the thermostats in the “Vacant” section. They can only view the status and information of the thermostats in the “Occupied” section. By default, thermostats in vacant units are set to “Off” mode.
